Freediving Socks & Booties
A good pair of neoprene socks is a necessary part of any freedivers kit. You lose more heat through your feet and hands than your head, so throwing some neoprene over your feet even when it seems to warm for it will be doing wonders for your energy conservation in the water.
Neoprene socks also serve the purpose of preventing blisters from your foot pockets rubbing. They also fill out your foot pockets nicely, ensuring they fit well and that you aren't wasting energy when kicking. The assumed rule is the better the fin fit, the better the power conversion.
